Separately the group have been involved in staging comedy shows since 2004 (Ralph Jones has written over 120 sketches and 7 full shows, the first of which when he was 15) and in 2010 they are taking their show This Is What Chaos Smells Like to Oxford and to the Camden Fringe.

"Laugh-out-loud ... Delightful." (The Noise Next Door)

"Pioneers." (The Unexpected Items)

"Vibrant ... Fresh and original and a lot of fun." (Oxford Playhouse)

Ralph Jones' writing has also been called "really funny, original stuff" by Britain's leading satirical website, The Daily Mash.

Armed with sketches on subjects ranging from the assassination of Terry Wogan to the ins and outs of Noddy and Big Ears' tempestuous private relationship, The Awkward Silence are a young and very promising presence on the scene. As well as using the stage, the group go out of their way to incorporate video and audio material into their shows, to ensure that their audiences always get as much as possible for their money.

"Excellent." (Oxford Mail)

"Sure to make you laugh and induce schadenfreude." (Oxford Magazine)

In 2010 and 2011 The Awkward Silence are performing at as many comedy festivals and fringes as possible and looking to set the comedy world world ablaze in the very near future.
