10th Day Bulletin

2 Nov 2009
Archive

So, here we are on the 10th of 15 Days and Nights of comedy and fun.

It's more than just promotional waffle when we say that so far this year's festival has been the best yet. There have been so many highlights, record high audience figures and terrific performances from many newcomers to comedy.

There's so much to say that we better keep it brief, though here is the 10-day bulletin.

New York to Hull - Rich Jackson is Here, for Real!
We wanted to see him with our own eyes before publicising this, though now its official! Rich Jackson of the world renowned Nat Turner Revue has travelled all the way across the Atlantic from New York just to appear at Hull Comedy Festival.
Rich has already gone down a storm at support slots at the Live Naked Idiots and the Art of Comedy, and can be seen again at the Art of Comedy Showcase (SoHo Lounge - Wednesday), the Best of Hull (Royal Hotel - Friday) and the Hull Comedy Awards (Royal Hotel - Saturday).

Free Comedy on Bonfire Night
Organisers of Hull Comedy Festival would like to invite you to an Evening of Live Comedy this Thursday Evening Free of Charge!

Hull Comedy Festival's Bloke Jokes Tour will be performing at the Charleston Club, Waliker Street (Anlaby Road) from 7.45pm until 10pm on Thursday 5th November.

The show features a top bill of professional comedians including:
Jon Reed (Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Winner), Alfie Moore (Hull Comedy Festival Comedian of the Year Runner-up), and Headliner: Anvil Springstien
Door open at 7.45pm and is free to the first 100 people.
Show goes onto until 10.30pm so there's plenty to time for live comedy after you've seen some fireworks!

Sam Morgan Has Remembered his Mobile Number
Contrary to the information in the Hull Comedy Festival brochure, Sam Morgan of the Sam & Dave Show has been in contact to say that the number to call if you'd like tickets for their show at the Royal Hotel on Wednesday and Thursday is actually 07775 854 375
Apologies to Ethel Turner of Bournemouth who has received 27,000 wrong numbers over the past 2-weeks.
