Wey Hey Day is a celebration of the life and energy of Keith Chegwin.
In honour of Keith's brilliance, the team behind Hull Comedy Festival has printed 10,000 Cheggers masks to be worn with pride on Friday 30th October.
A spokesperson for Wey Hey Day said: "Keith Chegwin is an icon of popular entertainment. He has put so much energy into entertaining the people of the United Kingdom, that it is only fair we give Wey Hey Day to him to sure our appreciation for the man."
"The Cheggers masks will be distributed throughout Tourist Information Centres, hotels, bars, restaurants and laundrettes in the Hull area and can be found in the centre pages of the new Hull Comedy Festival brochure."
"For insurance purposes, we would like to remind people that Keith Chegwin masks should not be worn whilst operating heavy machinery or when making love."
